Demo of Knoppix
- Showed how to use a USB device to provide a "persistent home"
- When "boot:" appears, type:

knoppix home=scan

What are the properties of the USB drive that allow it to be "scan"able?
- Must do "K-Menu -> KNOPPIX -> Configure -> Create Persistent Disk Image" in the menu to set it up.
  - This will create the "knoppix.img" and "knoppix.swp" files on the device which can be scanned for on boot.
  - A password can be used to protect this image, if desired, but it needs to be 20 characters long.
Wireless-assistant will show you (graphically) the list of all hotspots in range.

He's running for Senate in 2010.
- Wants to setup IT infrastructure for the campaign
- Which software?
  - Distro, MX, BBS, DB...?
- Setup of software system: group project for those interested.
- CRM, Accounting?
Thorsten commented that it might be better to build an "open source campaign system" in STNY LUG's name
- Live on past election day that any candidate could use.
